Anja studied physics at the University of Konstanz and the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) of Munich, specializing in semiconductor physics and optoelectronics. Through her diploma thesis, she also gained practical experience in semiconductor technology and the manufacturing of semiconductor devices.

Her technical expertise covers the entire spectrum of semiconductors: devices, technology, manufacturing, circuit design, optoelectronics, and sensor technology, as well as computer-implemented inventions (CII).

Anja has over 30 years of experience in intellectual property law. Her career includes positions at Munich-based patent law firms of various sizes and in corporate IP departments (Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Qimonda Dresden).

Anja is a German Patent Attorney, a Professional Representative before the European Patent Office (EPO), and a Representative before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). She is also a European Trademark and Design Attorney. The focus of her practice includes drafting patent applications, handling patent prosecution proceedings, and providing strategic counseling to clients. During her time in corporate IP departments, she also gained considerable experience in managing patent portfolios and in matters related to the German Act on Employees’ Inventions.
